A Colorado Springs resident since 1998, I have close to twenty-five years experience in the fitness industry as a certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer. My roles as a fitness professional have included: group fitness coordinator and training educator for the YMCA, spokesperson for SPRI products at local events, guest trainer at “365FITT” wellness retreats and a virtual trainer for FitOrbit. I currently work part-time as a wellness specialist for Penrose-St. Francis Hospital. I maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications and have a vast experience in cardiovascular conditioning, strength training, flexibility and weight management. I’m familiar with a variety of training systems and formats (TRX, balance trainers, FitBalls, barbells, spinning, yoga, Pilates, etc.) and incorporate these into workout sessions. Through my career I’ve worked with adults, teens, and pre-teens which include special populations (those with disabilities, cancer survivors, pre-and post-natal women, seniors, athletes). I belong to the IDEA Health and Fitness Association and stay current with exercise trends and health research through continuing education.
